I was thinking about this verse the other day after Pete posted about it. It's one of his favorite verses. Mine too!
But what really gets me with it is how one tiny little word - so - makes all the difference to its meaning. God didn't just love the word... he so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Words that mean the same thing as so (synonyms) are - very, indeterminately, extremely, remarkably, unusually, in great measure
What a difference a word makes... Even a teeny tiny one!
Thank you so much dear Lord for loving us so much that you gave us your precious one and only Son!
